The great thing about an overlocker is that not only will it overlock your fabric, but you can do all sorts of fun things with it, quickly.
Today we are having a look at how easy it is to gather on an overlocker.
Firstly the settings
Stitch Length- 5 (0r the longest it will go)
Right Needle Tension – 6 to 9, depending on the fabric
Left Needle Tension- 6 to 9 depending on the fabric
Upper Looper- 3
Lower Looper- 3
Now that your overlocker is set up, take a sample piece of fabric and run it through to see how your fabric will gather. Start with the needle tensions on 6 and if the fabric hasn’t gathered as much as you would like then turn the tension up a bit higher until you get the desired result. Be sure to leave a good amount of chain at the start and finish of your gathering and then you can alter the gather a little bit by pulling gently.
